Jonas Birgersson, ‘Broadband Jesus’ becomes ‘El Jesus’ – Jonas Birgersson and the next major infrastructure revolution

Is it science fiction or reality? It’s already happening. In Lund, we’re running the world’s first real EnergyNet – and that’s just the beginning. A visionary entrepreneur who once transformed the broadband industry – and who is now setting his sights on revolutionising the energy sector. With EnergyNet, he envisages abundant green energy at a low and stable cost, built on resilience and without any single points of failure – which could pave the way for a freer and stronger society.

Krontech: how AI helps map green spaces ahead of CSRD reporting

Carl Ståhle, Digital Property Development Expert, Sveriges Allmännytta Around 20 social housing organisations are working with IVL to develop an AI-based method for automating the mapping of tree cover, land cover and ecosystem services. The aim is to reduce manual work and provide a better basis for decision-making for construction and property companies in their work on climate, biodiversity and green space planning. Now, more property owners and local authorities want to make use of the tool. Carl Ståhle, a digitalisation expert at Sveriges Allmännytta, explains how the public housing sector is using AI to drive the industry forward.

AI as a catalyst for increased competition and innovation

Johan Wedenius, CEO, BidPal.ai How can we build a smart city if innovation gets bogged down in bureaucracy? Today, public contracts are often awarded to those who are best at administration, not those with the best solution. But through AI, we can create a level playing field where specialised expertise takes precedence over paperwork. The result? A more efficient matching process that enables needs-driven delivery, increased competition and genuine innovation for the cities of the future.
